Ingredients
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 tablespoon light corn syrup
- 1-2/3 cups salted cashew pieces or any other salted nut
- 1 c. milk chocolate chips
Preparation
Step 1
Combine sugar, butter and corn syrup in heavy 2-quart saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until candy thermometer reaches 290 degrees or small amount of mixture dropped in ice water forms brittle strands (25 to 30 minutes). Remove from heat; stir in cashews.
Spread into 1/4-inch thickness on waxed paper-lined 15 x 10 x 1-inch jelly-roll pan.
Cool until slightly hardened. Melt chocolate in microwave. Stir. Spread over candy mixture. Cool completely; break into pieces.
