Mashed Potato Casserole

Ingredients
- 2 cups mashed potatoes, made with milk and butter
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 small onion, sliced thin
- 1 stick butter, cut into pieces.
- 2 cups grated mild cheddar cheese
- 4 medium potatoes, cooked
- 6 slices bacon, cooked crisp

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread mashed potatoes evenly on bottom of casserole dish. Spread a layer of sour cream evenly over top. Mix together salt, pepper, and garlic powder together and sprinkle about half on top.
Saute onion in butter in skillet until tender. Then layer evenly over top of sour cream.
Next slice your four cooked potatoes and layer those over the onions. Add butter pieces all over the top and then sprinkle the remaining salt, pepper and garlic powder over top.
Finally top with cheese. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven and crumble bacon over top.
