  • 4 c. rhubarb, diced
  • 1 3/4 c. sugar, divided
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 3 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 c. hot water

Preparation

Step 1

Prepare a 9 x 9 pan, and spread rhubarb evenly in the pan. Mix together 3/4 c. sugar, butter, flour, baking powder, salt and milk; spread over rhubarb. Combine remaining sugar and cornstarch. Sprinkle over rhubarb. Pour over hot water. Bake at 350 for 50 to 60 minutes
