BROCCOLETTE****Broccolette with Asian Citrus Dressing

By

06/05/16 - This is good if you're looking for something to do with Broccolette ahead of time. I had it for lunch with a hard-boiled egg and a can of tuna. I still prefer it cooked Italian style though. This would work with plain broccoli too.

  • 3

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon aged traditional balsamic
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange or lemon zest
  • 2 teaspoons fresh-squeezed orange or lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 small scallion, chopped
  • 1 package broccolette, rinsed and dried
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) roasted, chopped cashews

Preparation

Step 1

Set broccolette on a steamer rack over boiling water. Cover and steam until crunchy-tender, about 3-5 minutes. Alternately, do in a microwave steamer.

Remove from steamer and arrange on a serving platter. Drizzle the dressing over the top and serve hot, warm or at room temp. Top with roasted, chopped cashews and orange segments if desired.
