  • Topping:
  • 1/2 Cup Margarine
  • 3/4 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 3/4 Cup Flour
  • 1/4 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Cup Nuts
  • 2 1/2 Cups Miniature Marshmallows
  • 1 Cup Chocolate Chips
  • 1 1/2 Cups Rice Krispies
  • 1 Cup Peanut Butter



Step 1

Cream together margarine and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder. Add dry ingredients to creamed ingredients and mix well. Fold in nuts. Spread mixture into a greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and spread marshmallows evenly over top. Return to oven for 2 minutes. Allow to cool for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare topping by melting chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in peanut butter and Rice Krispies. Spread topping over bars and refrigerate. These bars are easier to cut after they have been refrigerated.
