Ice Cold Latte

By

I am NOT a fan of coffee; however, I found this recipe online and the vast majority of the latte is milk so I can handle the subtle coffee flavor.

Preparation

Step 1

Place the coffee grounds in the bottom of an 8 eight cup glass measuring cup (I bought one at Bed Bath and Beyond). Gently pour water over the coffee grounds and stir. Place plastic wrap over the top of the measuring cup and allow the mixture to sit for 8 hours at room temperature. Place a folded cheese cloth into the metal strainer, ensuring that all of the strainer is covered. Place the strainer into a canning funnel and place the funnel into the mouth of a 2 quart (8 cup) glass container. Uncover the coffee mixture and slowly pour the coffee into the cheese cloth. *Be careful not to pour too fast and overflow the cheese cloth.* Squeeze the cheese cloth over the container and discard the cheese cloth and coffee grounds. Place a lid on the glass container and store in the fridge until ready to use.

*To make one 8 oz. Ice Cold Latte: Pour 1/3 cup of the cold flavored coffee into a glass. Add 1 1/2 cups of milk and stir. Add sugar or sugar substitute and mix to combine. *I use 25-30 drops of Liquid Stevia or 5 packets of Splenda and the flavor is perfect!*
