Ingredients
- 2 pkg. quick rising yeast
- 3 c. lukewarm water
- 1/2 t. sale
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1/4 c. sugar if you're doing sweet roll dough
Preparation
Step 1
Place all ingredients in mixing bowl.
Using dough hook, mix in 6-7 c. flour til the mixture starts coming up on dough hook.
Turn out on floured board.
Knead until dough is no longer sticky
Put dough in greased bowl.
Let rise until double with a cloth covering the bowl
Form dough into whatever you want--loaves, rolls. etc.
For cinnamon sweet rolls--roll out the dough, brush with melted butter and sprinkle a mixture of cinnamon and brown sugar on the dough
Roll up and cut into slices.
Place in 9 x 13 pan, let rise til double and bake at 350 for about 30 minutes.
