Creole Wieners

Ingredients

  • 8 slices cut-up bacon
  • 3 cups choppped onion
  • 1 -lb. can (2 cups) tomatoes
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. Pepper
  • 10 wieners (1 lb.)

Preparation

Step 1

Fry bacon until half-done. Drain off most of drippings. Add onions. Cook, stirring often, until golden. Stir in tomatoes, salt, pepper. Put wieners on top of mixture. Cover; simmer about 45 min. Stir now and then. If neessary boil hard, uncovered, about 5 min. to thicken.
