Sweet Spicy Bacon

  • 1 lb thick cut bacon - 12 slices
  • 1.5 T packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper



Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Arrange bacon slices in 1 layer on a wire rack on a large foil lined pan and bake in middle of oven for 20 minutes. Meanwhile mix brown sugar, cayenne, and black pepper together in a small bowl. Turn slices over and sprinkle evenly with spiced sugar (rub it in as you would a dry rub on meat before bbq). Continue baking til bacon is crisp and brown, 15-20 minutes more, and then transfer to paper towels to drain or cool on foil
