Apple Crisp Dessert
1 Recipe Makes 9 or 10" Square pan

Ingredients
- Sauce:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1 cup water
- Cook over low heat until thick - Cool
- Add
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 6 tart apples, peeled and sliced

Step 1
Peel and slice apples - fill dish a 9 x 13 pan with desired amount-be generous - at least 3/4 full. Pour sauce over all apples.
Make topping:
1 cup sifted flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup butter
2 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Combine all topping ingredients and mix with a fork until crumbly - top apples with topping - make a few big crumbs. Then melt butter - drizzle gently over all the toppings. Combine 2 tablespoons sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon - sprinkle over topping.
Bake 350-375 for 35-40 minutes or until done.
