Rice with Oyster Sauce and Prawns

An original way to use the rests of rice.

Ingredients

  • 12 fresh prawns,
  • 600 g/1 lb 5 oz cooked rice,
  • 2 spoons minced garlic,
  • 300 g/10 1/2 oz cooked vegetables (corn, carrots, peas),
  • 6 ActiFry spoons shrimp paste,
  • 1 shallot, sliced,
  • 1/2 ActiFry spoon oyster sauce or soya sauce,
  • 1/4 ActiFry spoon sugar,
  • Salt and freshly ground white pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Put the shrimp paste, minced garlic and oyster sauce in the ActiFry. Cook for 3 minutes.

Add the prawns to the ActiFry and cook for 6 to 7 minutes or until cooked and well mixed with the sauce.

Add the cooked rice, the carrots, corn and peas. Mix with a spatula. Cook for 5 minutes.

Add the sliced shallot and the pepper and serve with cucumbers and tomato slices.

If you prefer the dish to be spicier, add a strips of green chilli.
