Ingredients

  • 1-2/3 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter (melted)
  • 2 TBS water
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt (optional)
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1-1/3 cup flour
  • 1-1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350'

Grease a 13"x9" pan

Mix together sugar, melted butter, and water. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Stir into sugar mixture. Add chopped nuts. Do not over mix. It should be somewhat lumpy.

Pour into prepared pan and bake for 18-20 minutes.

Do NOT over bake!

Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot brownies, let melt a little and then spread over brownies to ice.

Cool and cut into squares.
