Ingredients
- Dissolve 2 packages yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water. Scald 2 ups milk. Add 2 teaspoons salt, 6 rounded tablespoons sugar, and 6 tablespoons butter. Cool to lukewarm and add yeast mixture.
- Mix together 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract or vanilla, 3 eggs, and 2 cups flour.
- Beat until smooth. Add 5 cups or enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead until smooth. Place in greased bowl. Cover and let raise until double.
