Ingredients
- 5 lbs. lukewarm grease
- 1 can lye
- 1 qt. cold water
- 1/2 c. hot water
- 3 T. borax
- 1/4 c. ammonia
- 2 T. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
Preparation
Step 1
Mix lye in cold water, then cool. Mix hot water with Borax and let cool. Add ammonia, sugar and salt. Pour lye in grease, stirring slowly. Add other ingredients and stir until thick.
