Ingredients
- 2 T. flour
- 1 T. sugar
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Dash pepper
- 3/4 c. skim milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 2 T. oil
Preparation
Step 1
Combine flour, sugar, mustard, salt, pepper and milk in double boiler or heavy saucepan over low to medium heat. Beat egg with lemon juice. Stir into milk mixture. Cook and stir until thickened. Gradually beat in oil. Cover and cool to room temperature. Chill before using. Makes 1 1/4 cups.
