Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cups melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbs. sliced almonds for topping
  • 1 tbs. sugar for topping

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 350.

In a bowl, whisk sugar and melted butter. Beat in eggs. Stir in almond and vanilla extracts. Add flour. Mix well. Spread in spring form pan. Sprinkle almonds and sugar over the top.

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until lightly browned. oool slightly.

Carefully run a knife around edges to loosen and turn on onto a rack.

This will be like coffee cake, a little coarse and very moist.
