Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 5 tbsp cocoa
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1 cup coconuts
  • 2 cups graham wafer crumbs
  • 1 egg

Preparation

Step 1

Place soft butter, sugar, cocoa, vanilla and egg in bowl Set bowl in pan of boiling water. Stir until butter has melted and the mixture resembles custard. Combine wafer crumbs, coconut and nuts, then add to previous mix, blend and pack in 9 inch ungreased pan.
Icing: To 1/4 cup butter add 3 tbsp milk which has been combined to 2 tbsp vanilla custard powder. Blend in 2 cups icing sugar, spread over chocolate base in pan. Let stand for 15 minutes to harden. Melt 4 squares chocolate with 1 tbsp margarine to spread over custard.
