Pan Fried Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 2 TB butter
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt, plus more for seasoning
  • 1 tsp black pepper, plus more for seasoning
  • 4 bone-in pork chops or 8 breakfast chops
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 - 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oil & butter in a large pan over medium-high heat. Season pork chops with seasoned salt & black pepper. In a shallow dish, combine flour, seasoned salt, black pepper, & cayenne pepper. Dredge pork chops in the flour mixture, then add to the pan. Cook 2 to 3 pork chops at a time, about 3 to 4 minutes on each side. If they are stuck to the pan, then they aren’t ready to flip! You may need to reduce the heat to medium when adding the second batch. Put the first batch on a baking sheet in a 250⁰ oven to keep warm.
