Ingredients

  • 4

    eggs

  • 2-1/2

    cups sugar

  • 7

    cups milk

  • 3

    cups whipping cream

  • 3

    tablespoons vanilla

Directions

Beat eggs until light. Add sugar gradually. Add remaining ingredients and pour into ice cream maker canister. Insert plastic paddle (nub side down). Place lid on canister lining up appropriately. Place canister in empty bucket. Add motor apparatus wiggling until it drops into place. Line up grooves on motor with grooves on bucket. Fill bucket with ice to top of canister. Add rock salt to lightly cover top. Plug in. As ice settles, add more ice and salt in alternate layers. Keep ice to top to freeze ice cream at top of canister.Motor will run about 20 minutes until ice cream becomes too hard to move paddle. Unplug immediately. Do not throw ice water and salt on grass as it will kill the grass.
