Nellie's Fudge

Ingredients

  • 4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. white syrup
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • Dash salt

Preparation

Step 1

Mix sugar, salt, cocoa, syrup and milk. Cook slowly until mixture forms a soft ball (234 degrees). Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Beat until firm. Add nuts, if desired. Turn into buttered pan.
