Minute Boil Fudge

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 oz. chocolate, cut
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 7/8 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. nuts
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 T. shortening
  • 4 T. oleo
  • 2 T. corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients, except nuts and vanilla and bring slowly to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Boil briskly for 2 minutes (on a rainy or humid day, boil for 4 to 5 minutes). Cool to lukewarm. Add vanilla and nuts and beat until smooth and creamy. Pour into a buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.
