Easy Cherry Rum Balls in the little paper holiday cups bottom left. Other cookies are Jam Thumbprints, Pecan Sandies, and Cream Cheese Spritz cookies in the Center.

Ingredients
- 2 cups vanilla wafer cookies, crushed (40-45)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup candied cherries, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1/4 cup rum
- 3 tablespoons corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Preparation
Step 1
In medium bowl, combine crushed vanilla wafers, 1 cup powdered sugar, cherries and nuts. Add rum, corn syrup and butter; blend well. Shape mixture into 1 inch balls; roll in 1/4 cup powdered sugar. Cover tightly; let stand 24 hours to blend flavors.
These are Great. They Taste Wonderful. Not like what you remember as a child. Don't worry about the alcohol. There is very little per cookie. You'de get sick before you'de get a buzz from the cookies. Try eggnog with rum for a buzz.
