Ingredients

  • Dressing:
  • Head of lettuce
  • 1 C chopped celery
  • 1 chopped pepper
  • 1/2 C chopped green onions
  • Frozen peas
  • Grated cheddar cheese, reserved
  • 2 C mayo
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp seasoning salt

Step 1

In a 9×9 baking dish,place salad ingredients in order, so that they are in layers. Be sure to completely cover with frozen peas. Then mix dressing ingredients
together and completely cover the peas, so that the salad is sealed in (this will keep the salad crisp).
Top with reserved cheese. Cover tightly with plastic
wrap and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
Add additional toppings, if desired, just before serving (chopped olives, hard boiled eggs, chopped ham, etc )
