Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 cups diced onions
  • 10 OZ canned diced tomatoes (drained)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 2 TBS brown sugar
  • 1 TBS Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 TBS sesame seed
  • 1 TBS Dijon mustard
  • 1 TBS mustard
  • 12-15 dollar rolls or Hawaiian rolls
  • 12 slices cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

1. Brown ground beef in skillet. While browning, add salt, pepper, cumin, dry mustard and paprika. Add garlic, onions and diced tomatoes, stir to combine.
2. If using 12 rolls, use 11x7" pan, if using 15 rolls, use 13x9" pan. Line bottom of pan with roll bottoms. Pour meat mixture over rolls and spread evenly with spatula. Top meat mixture with cheddar cheese and top with rolls.
3. In saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, Worcestershire, mustard and sesame seeds until butter melts. Pour glaze mixture over rolls.
4. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 25".
