Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1 t. cinnamon
- 1 t. vanilla
- 1 cup chopped pecans

Preparation
Step 1
Cream 1 cup butter with 1 cup sugar. Add 1 egg yolk.
Mix in dry ingredients: 2 cups flour, ½ t. salt, and 1 t. cinnamon. Add in 1 t. vanilla.
Pat the dough out onto a large baking sheet about 3/16” thick.
Paint a thin layer of egg white over the surface of the cookie dough.
Sprinkle 1 cup of chopped pecans over cookie dough and gently press into the surface.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until they are beginning to lightly brown.
