Shortbread Squares

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb butter, softened
  • 2 1/2 C flour
  • 3/4 C sugar
  • 1/2 C sugar for topping

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in small saucepan.

Stir flour and first amount of sugar well in bowl. Add melted butter. Mix well. Pat out flat about 1/4 inch thick on ungreased cooked sheet. Bake in 325 oven for about 25 minutes until golden.

Cut into squared while hot. Coat with remaining sugar.
