Seven Minute Icing

  • 1 unbeaten egg white
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • Dash salt
  • 1 tsp. light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. water

Preparation

Step 1

Combine egg white, sugar, salt, water and corn syrup in top of double boiler. Beat about 1 minute or until blended. Cook over boiling water, beating constantly for 4 to 7 minutes or until it stands in stiff peaks. Remove from water, add vanilla and beat for 1 minute until thick enough to spread.
