Ingredients
- Orange Butter Frosting:
- 4 eggs, well beaten
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1 T. cold water
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. diced gumdrops (spice or fruit flavored)
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. grated orange rind
- Pinch salt
- 3 T. orange juice
- 3 T. butter/oleo, melted
Preparation
Step 1
Combine eggs and sugar. Beat until fluffy. Add water. Blend thoroughly dry ingredients. Gradually add to egg mixture, bleding thoroughly. Add nuts and gumdrops. Blend. Spread evenly in well oiled 7 1/2 x 11 1/2 x 3/4-inch pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes Top with Orange Butter Frosting.
Orange Butter Frosting: Combine all frosting ingredients and beat.
