Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1 egg
- 2 c. apples, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. flour, sifted
- 1/2 tsp. soa
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmet
- 1/2 c. nuts, chopped
- Powdered sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Microwave butter on high for 30 to 60 seconds until melted. Blend in sugar; beat in egg. Stir in apples and vanilla. Add flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg; mix well. Stir in nuts. Pour into 10 x 6-inch microsafe baking dish (grease bottom only). Microwave on high, uncovered for 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 minutes or until no longer doughy. Rotate dish twice. Cool; sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into bars. These freeze well.
