Ingredients
- 3 cups water
- 1 tablespoon Chicken Base, (Tones)
- 9 oz. tomato paste, (1 1/2 sm cans)
- 1 1/2 lb. boneless skinless chicken breast halves, cut into 1" cubes
- 3 cups potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 1/2 small onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 celery stalk, sliced
- 3 medium carrots, sliced
- 3/4 teaspoon paprika
- 3/8 teaspoon pepper
- 3/8 teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 tablespoons water
- 5 teaspoons cornstarch
Preparation
Step 1
1. In a crock pot, combine the chicken broth and tomato paste. Add next 8 ingredients and stir to mix well. Cover and cook on high heat for 3-1/2 to 4 hours, or on low heat for 7 to 8 hours.
2. Mix water and cornstarch in small bowl; stir until smooth. Stir into stew. Cook, covered, for 30 minutes more, or until thickened. Yield: 6 servings.
