Mom's Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • Meatballs
  • o Ground beef (2lbs)
  • o 2 eggs (1 per pound of meat)
  • o Minced garlic
  • o Salt
  • o Pepper
  • o Parmesan
  • o Parsley
  • o breadcrumbs
  • Bracoila
  • o Thin cut Braciola meat
  • o Minced garlic
  • o Salt
  • o Pepper
  • o Parmesan
  • o parsley
  • Pepperoni
  • Sausage
  • Sauce
  • o 2 cans of crushed tomatoes
  • o 2 can of quick crushed tomatoes
  • o Salt
  • o Pepper
  • o Oregano
  • o Minced garlic
  • o 1 can of tomato pasta (medium size or 2 small)
  • o Basil

Preparation

Step 1

1. Form meatballs (1.5”)
2. Form Braciola
3. Cut pepperoni into slices
4. Cut sausage into bite size chunks
5. Brown meat in pan; remove once bone on all sides
6. Add minced garlic to pan and let brown (1-2 minutes)
7. Add crushed tomatoes and tomato paste
8. Salt & pepper to taste
9. Oregano & basil to taste
10. Add meat back into sauce
11. Simmer until thick (3-4 hours)
