Pita Pizza

Ingredients

  • 2 pieces whole-wheat pita bread
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil, divided
  • 2 cups low-sugar pizza or pasta sauce, divided
  • 1 tomato, sliced thinly
  • 8 slices deli ham, cut into fourths
  • 1/4 cup low-fat shredded mozzarella cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Set oven to broil. Brush pita bread with olive oil, put on a baking sheet and broil 4" from the heat for 2 minutes. Remove from oven. Spread a cup of pizza sauce over each pita and top with equal amounts of tomato and ham. Sprinkle with cheese. Return to oven and broil for 3 more minutes or until cheese is melted.
