Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 T. cocoa
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 1/3 c. milk
Preparation
Step 1
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and mix. Mix flour, soda, salt and cocoa and add to creamed mixture alternating with milk. Beat for 2 minutes. Pour into 7 x 11-inch greased and floured pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 35 minutes. Test with broom straw for doneness.
