Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb or 5 c onions, sliced
- 3 T margarine
- 1 T oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 3 T flour
- 2 quart water and soya sauce
- 1/2 c dry white wine
- Salt and pepper
- 3 T cognac
Preparation
Step 1
Sautee onions, margarine, and oil for 15 min.
Uncover onions and add sugar and salt. Raise 30-40 min stirring till deep golden brown.
Add flour and let cook for another 3 min. Add water and soya sauce and cook until water boils. Add wine, salt, pepper, and cognac.
