FROSTY STRAWBERRY SQUARES

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup nuts
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 – 10 oz. pkg. frozen strawberries, or two cups fresh
  • 2 T. lemon juice
  • 1 cup whipped cream

Step 1

Combine flour, butter, brown sugar and nuts. Spread in 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350* for 20 minutes. Stir every 5 minutes. Cool and remove 1/3 of mix to save for topping. In a bowl, combine 2 egg whites, white sugar, strawberries, and lemon juice. Mix and beat at high speed until stiff. Fold in whipped cream. Spoon over crumbs in pan and top with saved crumbs. Freeze.
