Cherry Snips

  • 1 lg. can cherry pie filling
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 recipe 2-crust size pie crust, rolled out and cut into 2-inch squares

Preparation

Step 1

Put cherry filling, sugar and water in large pan; bring to boil. Drop a few squares at a time into boiling fruit, until all are used. Do not stir. Bring back to simmer and simmer for 30 minutes with no lid, don't stir, just carefully dip from the bottom so the snips don't stick. Raspberries, blueberries, blackberries all will work with this recipe. Fresh fruit too; may have to thicken fresh a bit.
