Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 1 Tb. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 3/4 cup butter flavor shortening
- 1/2 cup ice water
- 1 egg
- 1 Tb. vinegar
Preparation
Step 1
cut shortening into dry ingredients, until it resembles little peas. Mix together the water, egg and vinegar. Add all of the liquid mixture at once to the dry ingredients and mix together until it forms a ball. Roll out to fit a pie plate. Or you can refrigerate to use later. This makes enough for 2 double crust pies. It can be halved if you want less dough.
