Vanilla Custard Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • For coffee ice cream:
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. vanilla
  • Use 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla. Add 1 1/2 Tbsp. instant coffee powder with vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Combine sugar, flour, and salt; gradually stir in milk. Cook and stir over low heat till thick. Add small amount of hot mixture to eggs; mix well; return to hot mixture. Cook stir 1 min. Chill.
