Ingredients
- 4 oz. dried beef*
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp. worcestershire sauce
- *If dried beef is extra salty, let stand a few minutes in boiling water. Drain on paper towels before cooking in the butter.
Preparation
Step 1
Cook dried beef in butter till edges frizzle. Push meat to one side; blend flour into butter. Add milk all at once. Cook, stirring constantly, till thick and bubbly, gradually incorporating dried beef. Add worcestershire and dash pepper.
