Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 c fine bread crumbs
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 (8oz) cans tomato sauce
- 2 T vegetable oil
- 1 onion
- 2 potatoes
- 4 carrots
- 1 pkg beans
- 1 c water
- 1 T flour
Preparation
Step 1
Combine beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, egg, 1 ½ tsp salt, pepper, and ½ c tomato sauce. Shape into 16 balls.
Brown in hot oil in skillet. Add cut up vegetables, water, and 1 tsp salt.
Pour remaining tomato sauce over mixture in skillet. Cover and simmer 1 hr.
Stirring occasionally, remove ½ c stew sauce and mix flour into it. Gradually pour into stew and stir over low heat until gravy thickens.
