Ingredients
- 1/4 Cup Butter
- 1 Small Onion, chopped
- 1 Cup Celery, chopped
- 1 Large Carrot, grated
- 4 1/2 Cups Chicken Broth
- 1 Quart Fresh Tomatoes, peelef and diced
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1/4 tsp. Pepper
- 4 tsp. Sugar
- 1/4 Cup Flour
- Water

Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter in large saucepan. Saute onion, celery and carrot until just softened. Add chicken broth, tomatoes, salt, pepper and sugar and heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Blend flour with a little water and gradually stir into soup. Cook until slightly thickened, stirring frequently. Serve.
