Roma Crescents

Do as the Italians do- use high-quality, flavorful ingredients, and you won’t need to use a lot. These simple roll-ups turn a few pieces of thinly sliced meat, flavorful cheese, and fresh herbs into a special treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz) package refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1/4 lb thinly sliced hard salami
  • 1/4 lb mozzarella, sliced
  • 1/2 small bunch fresh basil

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Unroll crescents, press lightly with rolling pin to flatten. Chop salami roughly.

2. Evenly divide meat among dough triangles, plac¬ing it at wide base. Top with one piece of cheese and two basil leaves.

3. Roll up, starting at wide base and angle ends in towards center slightly to form crescent. Place on nonstick baking sheet and bake until golden, about 10-12 minutes.
