Gorganzola Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tbs butter
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 (8oz) pkg fresh mushroom pieces
  • 1 pt. whipping cream
  • 4 oz. gorganzola cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter. add onion, cook 6-8 minutes stirring often. Add mushrooms, continue cooking 5 minutes or until mushrooms are tender. In separate pan bring whipping cream to a boil and simmer until thickened, stir often. Whisk in cheese and whisk until smooth, about 4 minutes. Add onion mixture and keep warm until served.
