Ingredients

    pounds chopped meat

  • 1

    cup seasoned bread crumbs

  • 2

    eggs

  • 1

    large onion, cut in half then chop each half and keep separated

  • 1/2

    cup grated cheese

  • Dash of garlic powder

  • 2

    small cans tomato sauce

  • 1

    teaspoon gravy mix,

  • such as Gravy Master

  • 1/2

    cup hot water

Directions

In a bowl, mix half of the onions with the chopped meat. Shape into oblong meatballs and in a skillet, fry until brown on both sides. Remove from pan. In the same pan, fry the remaining onions until slightly brown. Mix gravy mix with hot water. Add to pan; add tomato sauce. Cook 25 minutes. Serves 4 to 6.
