Ingredients
- 3/4 c sugar
- 1/4 c firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c flour
- 1/2 t ground cinnamon
- 1/4 t ground allspice
- 5 cups blueberries, if frozen add a little more flour
- 1 T lemon juice
- 1 T butter, melted
- 1 double pie crust
- milk (for top of crust)
- sugar & cinnamon (for top of crust)
Preparation
Step 1
Combine first 8 ingredients, tossing gently. Put pie crust in bottom of 9 " pieplate. Spoon blueberry mixture into pastry shell. Top with remaining pie crust cut in strips. Arrange in lattice design. Fold under edges and crimp. Brush pastry with milk; sprinkle with sugar & cinnamon. Bake at 450* for 12 to 15 minutes, reduce heat to 325* and bake for 1 hour or until golden.
