Ingredients
- 1/4 c butter
- 1 med, onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 c all purpose flour
- 1 t salt
- 1 t dried parsley flakes
- 1/2 t dried thyme
- 1/2 t pepper
- 3 c 2% milk
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
- 8 oz sour cream
- 8 c thinly sliced peeled potatoes
- 3 1/2 c cubed fully cooked ham
- 8 oz shredded sharp white cheddar cheese

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375. In Lg pan, heat butter over med-high heat. Add onion; cook & stir until tender. Stir in flour & seasonings until blended; gradually whisk in milk. Bring to boil stirring constantly; cook & stir 2 min until thickened. Stir in soup. Remove from heat; stir in sour cream.
In greased 13x9 in baking dish, layer half of each of the following: potatoes, ham, cheese & sauce. Repeat layers.
Baked covered, 30 min. Bake, uncovered 40-50 min longer until potatoes are tender.
