Lemon-Lime Glazed Pound Cake

Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 5 large eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 2 medium limes
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 Tbsp. lemon extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour 2 loaf pans.
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Beat at medium speed until combined and fluffy.
Mix together flour, soda, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, mix buttermilk, juice of one lime, finely grated zest of one lime, vanilla, and 2 Tbsp. lemon extract.
Alternate flour and liquid mixture into batter until smooth.
Divide batter between 2 pans and spread evenly. Bake at 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean (crumbs are O.K.- not raw dough). Cover with foil if browning too quickly.
Remove from oven and let sit 10-15 minutes and remove from pans. Finish cooling.
Mix powdered sugar with remaining zest from second lime, lime juice, and remaining Tbsp. of lemon extract. Add a few drops of milk, if necessary. Pour over loaves.
