Huckleberry Pie

Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh or frozen huckleberries
  • 1 cup sugar (scant)
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 1 pastry for double crust pie
  • 1 cup grated apple
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • Dash of salt

Preparation

Step 1

Measure ingredients into a two quart mixing bowl and mix well. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Cover with top crust and bake at 375 F for about one hour or until nicely browned.
