Ingredients

  • Meat Mixture ingredients:
  • 2 lbs Beef
  • 2 lbs Pork
  • 1 Large onion
  • 4 Celery sticks
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 11/4 tsp Poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp Savory
  • Pinch Sage
  • 1 tsp Allspice
  • Pie shell ingredients:
  • 3 cups Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 11/4 cup Tenderflake
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 cup Cold water
  • 2 tsp Vinegar

Preparation

Step 1

Meat Mixture ingredients
Cover with water 1” above the mixture. Simmer on stove back left, start at 8 and move to 5. Cook mixture for 3-4 hours until little liquid remains.

Pie shell ingredients:
Crumb the first five ingredients using the mixer with the wisp.

Mix water and vinegar together. Use the dough hook.

To roll out the dough, sprinkle flour on the mat. Use clump of dough 1” thick approx 5”. Roll out until approx ¼” thick.

Makes meat mixture for 2 pies.
400° for 10 minutes
350° for 20 minutes
