Ingredients
- Filling:
- Bake your favorite pie crust for 8-10 minutes at 475 degrees (be sure to prick with fork first).
- 4 Hershey's chocolate bars
- 2 tbsp. margarine, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 handfuls pecan halves
- 1 handful coconut (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Melt 3.5 (of the 4) chocolate bars in a double boiler and margarine. Stir until smooth. Cool slightly. Whisk eggs; add sugar, syrup, chocolate mixture and vanilla; stir until blended. Mix pecans into mixture and then combine with egg mixture. Set pie on baking sheet. Sprinkle with coconut. Bake 50-55 minutes. Cool to room temperature. Serve with whipped toppings and a few shavings of chocolate.
